The Pressure of Being a Student
What kinds of memories do you have about your school days? Some people would think about school events such as sports festivals or culture festivals. Other people would think about their club activities. Although they had a lot of fun, they might have feel pressures under many situations. Most students feel pressures of being students; academic, financial, and communicational pressures are main kinds of pressures for them.
First of all, academic pressures are the biggest pressure for students. They have to go to school on weekdays, sometimes on weekends, and attend classes. Those are not needless but sometimes boring. In addition, students have a lot of homework to do. It reduces students’ time to watch TV, read books, or do some activities students want to do. Also, getting high scores is hard for them. Teachers and students’ parents expect to get high score because it is important to pass the exams or get good job.
Second, financial pressures are serious for students. Entering and going to school are very expensive. Their parents have to pay money, so students might worry about the burden on their parents, and the feeling might be stressful. Textbooks are also expensive. Besides, students don’t have much money to use freely because they don’t have enough time to do a part-time job. They have to give up buying something if they really want it.
Third, communicational pressures on the students are also big. They have to be on good terms with teachers, friends, and family. The human relations are important but hard for them. There are some situations to stand to do something if they don’t want to. Classmates aren’t always good people. Besides, their teacher and classmates change every year. The change gives a big pressure for students because they have to create new human relationship. Students may feel nervous when they talk with new people.
These three main pressures for students are serious, but they can never decrease pressures. Besides, the pressures are necessary for them to be adults. Although students feel a lot of pressures of being students, school days must be a precious time being students in their lives.
The introduction captured my attention because you ask a question at the beginning. So, I wanted to read it.
ReplyDeleteIn the third paragraph, I agree that students worry about the burden on their parents. I also feel sorry for my parents.
The structure is clear, so it is easy to read.
ReplyDeleteI really agree with academic pressures because I feel pressures about my exams next week.

I have no idea about how to conclude last paragraph,so this is very helpful for me. When I was in high school or junior high school, my class changed every year, and I met new students. However, now, my major class has only 36 students. Therefore, it decreased to feel communicational pressure.
