The Pressures of Being a Student
Today, we often feel pressures in our daily lives. There are many kinds of pressures from big one to small one. Some people feel sick, and what is worse, they sometimes kill themselves. This tendency spreads not only among working adults but also among students. Students face particular problems; such as study, money, relationships and housework.
First of all, students need to study hard. They have many classes; therefore, they have a lot of homework. When an assignment is a heavy one, students will stay late at night to finish it. Even if they do so, they may not finish it. As a result, they fail their grades. They make desperate efforts to get high score.
Another difficulty is about money. Students need a lot of money to live by themselves. Maybe parents aid them; however, some students try to live alone. So they are careful to spend money, and they save money. For instance, they prepare some dishes in advance, and then, they freeze it. It saves energy and time. To earn money, students have part-time jobs. They often get so tired that they can't go to school. It is hard to keep the balance between money and study
In addition to academic and financial pressure, social pressure is another pressure experienced by students. Students want some people to help them. Students can relieve the stresses to talk with close friends, but getting close is not so easy. It needs a lot of time. Moreover, students in the dormitory have to live with other people. Most of them never express their real emotion, so they may feel constrained.
Finally, students do housework and get tired. In their home, parents may do that; therefore, students don't worry about it. On the other hand, living alone, they have to do housework by themselves. They may do that with joy for half a year; however, they will think it troublesome, and they will not cook or wash.
In conclusion, students have these pressures of academic, financial, social, and housework. However, they cannot live without any pressures. Therefore, students should have what they can relax and try to relieve the pressures.
